    This is superb Adrian. The boats lead you into the picture giving it nice depth but I think it’s a shame the figure on the bridge wasn’t about 10 yards back making him the focal point of the picture, the point where these lead in lines lead us. He wouldn’t then have been silhouetted against the sky of course but lost amongst the detail of the building so a difficult choice. The reflection and sky are the icing on the cake for me.

      Thanks Adrian. If only the persons position on the bridge had been a conscious decision! I was aware of the figure and wanted him/her in the shot but hadn’t thought beyond that. I do however like the silhouette result.

      The whole image shouted lead in lines when I saw it and I am really pleased with the glass like water in the foreground.

    By gum, old Brum is a changin’…….though this wonderful photo reminds me of those early post war images of the ‘new utopia’….. a really strong composition….love it Adrian.
