Thanks Cyndi, the lines on the shutters really do draw you into the photo, and the angled light helps this process. I have taken lots of these through the widow shots and this is the first that has worked really well.
I keep imagining waking up to the flickering play of shadows on the shutters, clouds drifting across my field of vision, contemplating sitting upright to catch the colour of the sea today … It’s a very evocative photograph Adrian.

Great shot, it’s also very hard to get the exposure correct in type of shot, you have got it dead on.
Thanks Lawrence
Nice image
Thanks Ravi
I totally agree. a great piece of black and white 🙂
Thanks my friend
The lovely shadows on the shutter really make this shot for me, Adrian. A very pensive feeling to the photo.
Thanks Lynne

…and your narrative is very eloquent. Thanks.
A good picture – like a painting – engages one in some sort of narrative 🙂
Good handling of a tough exposure situation. Very nice
I must confess to under exposing and correcting in PS!
I have a similar photo (not as good as this one) taken about 20 years from possibly the same window – brings back great memories 🙂
Thanks Ian
