Nice subject. I like the tonal values, but I can’t help but feel this is really a composition of two halves. I realise there is a ‘twiggy weed’ linking the two halves but I don’t think it’s quite strong enough. Maybe a couple of steps back to put more of the tree in the reflection to create more of a virtual link…
Thanks Stephen, but I had no more room on the towpath! I was trying to make the tender the subject of the shot so the reflection of anything else in the water was not integral. With hindsight, a lower shooting position may have made the tender more prominent, and allowed more of a reflection (but that would have cut out the tree).

We photographers are always juggling with the framing!
